Tonight on the guide

Every page of this site sits in a channel row. Times are a reading order, not a broadcast schedule — the slot that matches the hour in San Cristóbal lights up as “on now”.

Outside-broadcast locations

Eight real places around the guide’s reference point, Plaza Bolívar on Séptima Avenida: the Pueblo Nuevo cluster of stadium, bullring, velodrome and fair pavilions in the north, and the civic and historic centre around the plaza and the cathedral.

Programme notes

What this is

Táchira Dial is an English-language guide for visitors, students, researchers and members of the Venezuelan diaspora who want to understand Táchira through its media and its everyday culture.

We write about the history of regional television and radio in the Andes, the Feria Internacional de San Sebastián, football and cycling, food, music and the towns and parks around San Cristóbal.

What this is not

This is an independent guide. It is not affiliated with Televisora Regional del Táchira (TRT) or with any broadcaster, newspaper, club or venue we describe, and it does not stream, sell tickets or publish schedules.

Facts come from public sources; where we are unsure, we stay general. Corrections are welcome through the contact desk.

How to read it

Channel rows group pages by theme: Signal for media history, Feria for the January fair and faith, Pitch for sport, Table for food, Road for trips out of the city, Town for the capital itself.

Bulletins arrive in the crawl at the top and the “Up next” queue. Everything is searchable from the footer, and the sitemap lists every page.
